Dear Play2Day Community,
It is with a heavy heart that I am announcing that Play2Day will be closing permanently on August 28th.
I am incredibly proud to be one of the play spaces that was able to survive the initial stages of the pandemic, providing care to hundreds of families when the world felt scary and unknown. Our survival was, in large part, because of you.
However, surviving is not thriving. As time went on, it became clear that the world in which I dreamed up and opened this business doesn’t exist anymore. While I fully anticipated unforeseen obstacles in entrepreneurship, unfortunately, some of these obstacles were just too difficult to overcome.
This decision was not made lightly - it was made with each and every one of you and your children in mind. Whether you were a weekly regular, occasional visitor, or supporter from afar, thank you for your partnership. This community has forever changed my life. You trusted Play2Day with caring for your children, which is the highest compliment I could have asked for.
Here is some logistical information for our last month:
Open Play will continue on Saturdays and Sundays from 9am-1pm, and on Wednesdays from 3-6pm during the month of August.
Broadway & Me and Mini-Camps will continue through the end of August
Themed sensory bins will be available for sale on our website
We will be holding a closeout sale from Tuesday August 30th through Sunday September 4th from 9am-1pm each day. Customers, partners and the community will have the opportunity to purchase their favorite books, toys, and even furniture from the playspace at a discount.
If you have any memories to share, please post them on social media and tag @play2daychi or email firstname.lastname@example.org!
This last month will be a celebration of all that we have shared together! Thank you for the laughs, the friendships, and the memories that will last a lifetime.
